Inspire Me is also available when you create a post using the Passle Button or the Passle Gateway extension. Whether you're browsing the web or responding to something you've just read, simply highlight a piece of text and Inspire Me will automatically generate ideas based on what you've selected.
Using Inspire Me with the Passle Gateway/Passle Button
To generate quote-based suggestions, start by using the Gateway Extension as usual.
- When you find an interesting piece worth writing about, highlight the text you'd like to quote.
-
Click the Passle Button or the Passle Gateway Extension.
- The Inspire Me panel will open automatically, using your highlighted text to generate relevant, contextual suggestions tailored to the article or content you selected.
- Clicking Start with this on any card pre-populates your post with the suggestion's content:
- The suggested Title is placed in the post title field.
- The Hook, explaining why the topic is timely and relevant, is inserted into the post body as editable content.
-
The Angle, the suggested perspective, appears below the post editor.
- Before clicking Save & Continue, you can switch between ideas freely — clicking Start with this on a different card replaces the current content.
• Only three suggestions based on your quote are available, you cannot fetch more or regenerate them.
• These suggestions cannot be saved, the bookmark icon is not shown for these ideas.
• The Inspire Me panel is hidden if the Send as suggestion toggle is enabled in the bookmarklet.
Without a highlighted quote
If you launch the bookmarklet without highlighting any text, you'll see your standard weekly ideas, the same ones available on your dashboard and in the post editor, complete with the Saved toggle, countdown, and Fetch more ideas button. Everything stays in sync across all three.
Manually pasting a quote into the bookmarklet or on your New post page won't change the ideas shown. Quote-based suggestions will only appear when you highlight text before launching via the Gateway Extension or the Passle Button.
