In order to utilise the ISTATOY feature, it is necessary to have a default email set up on your device. 

Gmail

Follow these simple steps to set up ISTATOY for Gmail

1.) Open Gmail via Google Chrome and check your protocol handlers:

In the address bar type chrome://settings/handlers 

2.) Check that the Allow sites to ask to become default handlers for protocols status is visible.

If the toggle is in the off position, you will see the status, 'Do not allow any site to handle protocols'. Simply slide the toggle to the right, setting it to the on position

3.) Verify that your Gmail client is set and the default mail client

4.) Open your Gmail or navigate to https://mail.google.com

5.) When you open Gmail, you should see the protocol handler icon, to the far right hand side, within the address bar 

6.) Click the protocol handler icon. and select the Allow radio button, and click Done

MS Outlook 

Follow these simple steps to set up ISTATOY for MS Outlook

1.) From within the MS Outlook, select the File menu 

2.) Select Options

3.) From within the General menu, scroll to Start up options and check the option named Make Outlook the default program for Email, Contacts and Calendar

4.) Select the OK button

5.) From within the Windows Start button menu, navigate to and select the Settings option and then choose Default Apps

6.) Ensure that the Default app which you have selected is Outlook

Firefox

FireFox users who attempt to share an ISTATOY but instead get an empty tab, should review their mailto settings

Follow these simple steps to set up ISTATOY for Firefox

1.) Open the Firefox Menu 

2.) Select Options

3.) From within the General menu, scroll down to the applications section and check your mailto settings. 

4.) To change the present mailto settings, select the drop down menu arrow and then select your preferred email client.
