Our app now lets users enable biometric login for an added layer of security. You can use either fingerprint or face recognition for device authentication for your Passle account.
If you are not already using a version of biometric login on your mobile, you will first need to update the settings under your device's security and privacy options.
-
Make sure your mobile is updated with the latest version of our app. If your mobile settings allow, your app will update automatically.
If needed, you can visit your preferred store to update the app: -
You will need to log out and re-login to your account to enable your preferred biometric option. If you have a 2FA (two-factor authentication) setting enabled, you will need to complete this as usual.
-
Once logged in again, you will be presented with the option to 'Enable biometric login'.
Select the Enable button. -
Next time you log in to your Passle app, you will be presented with your fingerprint login option or will be logged in automatically via face recognition.
If the biometric option temporarily does not work, you will be presented with the option to try again or to log in with your email address.
The biometric login will use the last successful manual login method.
If you use email and password, the biometric login will use that option. If you then use your company's SSO option, it will use SSO.
As it is the same account, it does not currently prompt you to update the method. It does, however, prompt you to update the biometric login details if you log in using a different email address.
