Ensuring Passle can create CrossPitch profile summaries and external posts
To ensure that your company can make use of CrossPitch, the following IP addresses will need to be added to an allow-list so that our bot is permitted to extract your users' profiles from your website.
- 34.207.23.115
- 34.238.20.29
- 35.171.111.92
The Passle bots will use the UserAgent PassleBot/1.0 (+https://www.passle.net/robots).
If these IP addresses are blocked by your firewall or any other bot blocking tools you will be unable to use CrossPitch.
Bot behavior summary
Passle's main priority when capturing user profiles, is minimizing impact on your website's infrastructure.
Profile Import Schedule
- A scheduled daily job runs at 6 AM UTC to initiate profile imports as needed.
- By default, each profile is only checked every 2 months (Passle are not scraping your website daily).
- HTTP requests take approximately 2-3 hours, between 6 AM - 9 AM UTC depending on the size of the data import.
Request Frequency
- The job processes URLs one at a time (vs running concurrent requests).
- Processing time is approximately 3-5 seconds per profile.
- Requests are processed as fast as our system can process -- we do not currently have throttling in place.
Manual Imports
- Profile imports can be initiated manually for ad-hoc requests.
