Once you have received a CrossPitch notification email highlighting a relevant article, you may want to share this to your LinkedIn page. This can easily be done with a click of a button, directly from your inbox.
-
First, click the Share to LinkedIn link in the notification email.
-
If this is your first time using the LinkedIn Quick Share feature, you may need to connect your LinkedIn account with Passle's CrossPitch features. You will only need to do this once to connect accounts.
The permission text shown during the initial connection between Passle and LinkedIn, is LinkedIn’s standard description for this type of integration.
Passle only uses this access to create LinkedIn posts when a user explicitly chooses to share content. No other actions are performed. Passle does not modify or delete LinkedIn posts, comments, reactions, or any existing LinkedIn activity.
If you want to remove the connection at any time, go to: LinkedIn Settings > Data Privacy > Other Applications > Permitted Services -
Once you are logged into Passle, you will be taken to our Quick Share feature, which will automatically generate a post summary and three hashtags from your content, making sharing effortless. Click through the options, or use the Re-generate button for alternatives. You can also edit the chosen post summary if you wish.
-
If you are not logged into Passle, the link from the email will open up the default Share to LinkedIn window. This means LinkedIn Quick Share is not activated. However, instead, you will will able to write your own post summary.
-
Once you are happy with your summary, select the Post button to share your post via LinkedIn.
To make any further changes to this LinkedIn Post, you will need to do this directly on LinkedIn itself. Read this article from LinkedIn Help on how to edit posts.
