Why is CrossPitch useful? How does the AI enhance the product?
It makes cross selling much easier by getting the right thought leadership to the right attorneys. AI is used to make these matches and to generate the sharable summaries.
Do we have to use the AI element?
CrossPitch is an AI tool. Passle more generally can be used without AI.
How does your AI work in practice?
AI is used to match your lawyers with the correct thought leadership from your firm. The AI examines both the thought leadership and the lawyer biographies to create a match. It also creates summaries of the thought leadership so that it can be quickly understood by the lawyers and easily shared with their clients and prospects.
What underlying technologies do you use?
The key knowledges are OpenAI, MongoDB & AWS.
Can the AI model be customized for our specific needs?
We tailor it to work with the requirements of a law firm, but we do not use your data to ‘train’ the LLM.
How will you supervise the outputs your system creates with AI?
The CrossPitch email has a section “why have I received this” with a personalized note for each recipient so it can be tweaked and refined over time.
How accurate are the outputs your system creates?
They are very accurate but the system provides a scoring interface so the BD team can adjust the targeting threshold.
What type of support and training do you offer for users to effectively use the AI-enhanced features?
We have communications that go out in advance of the product being rolled out but ultimately it is a very simple product so training will not be required in the vast majority of cases.
Data security and privacy
Do you hold personal information and is this information retained by the LLM?
The information used is taken from the public biographies of the lawyer and the publicly available marketing thought leadership (blog posts etc). Users can add private information to help focus CrossPitch – maybe by suggesting areas of law they would like to hear about but are not covered in their standard biography. This information is not retained by the LLM.
What is your liability and insurance position in relation to inaccurate thought leadership, breach of copyright/IP and/or any other liability due to the use of your AI?
All the thought leadership is owned by your firm. No thought leadership is sent directly to your clients via CrossPitch. Passle maintains Cyber Insurance to a $6m/£5m limit.
How do you handle data security and privacy in relation to AI? How can I be confident our data is secure? Ensure their practices align with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Our contract with OpenAI is purely to use their service. Your data is not retained by them or used for training.
What security standards do your AI capabilities comply with?

What Risk Management Strategies do you apply to ensure your AI outputs are as accurate as possible?
The outputs are different for each user – they are best judge of its usefulness. We will get feedback from them and they can also adjust their input data to focus the required response.
