WHAT'S NEW

An overview of our new features and key enhancements in this release.

Manage media: new Manage media section & new Media Picker design

Manage media sectionADMIN

Administrators are able to view and manage all the media that has been uploaded to each of their Passles in one place, and we have added some new features to make the management of your media even easier.

  • Bulk upload: Upload multiple files at the same time, either using 'drag and drop' or by selecting multiple files from your browser. There is also a new upload progress showing the status of your uploads.
  • Search by file name: You are now able to search through your media library using the file name. This will search media across all your Passles and different media types.
  • Renaming files: To make searching easier you can rename files (up to 125 characters) to something more descriptive.
  • Filter by used media: We have added the ability to filter media based on its usage, for example if it has been used as a featured image or not. This should make it easier to delete any unused media. You can also filter by ‘Popular’ usage, an image is marked as popular if it has been used more than 5 times.
  • Filter by media type: Easily filter your media by image, PDF, video or audio.

View How to manage media in Passle for more information and how-to guides.

Enhanced Manage media sectionADMIN  Enterprise

For our Enterprise clients, who may have more complex media libraries we have included some additional features to better help manage larger media libraries.

These additional features include:

  • Add folders: To better organise your media, you can now create folders. This will allow your company to group your media by practice, sectors or team. Your authors will then be able to better find media that relates to the posts they are creating.
  • Company media: You can also create folders that can be shared across the entire company. At the moment media is Passle specific, with only media uploaded to a particular Passle available to select. With company media, these files will be available to everyone. This could, for example, be branding assets that you would like all your users, across the company, to have access to.
  • Move files between folders: To help organise your existing media, you are able to move media within the Passle or move Passle media to a company media folder. To make it even easier, you can also drag and drop media between files.
  • Bulk actions: In addition to the above, to help organise your media, you can also do some bulk actions,  including bulk delete or bulk move to a new folder.

For more information about these enhanced features, visit How to manage your media in Passle - Enhanced media library.

New Media Picker design

To support the new media updates we have made some changes to the Media Picker in the edit post page.

As well as an improved interface, for easier navigation between media types, we have included the following new features:

  • Search by file name: Authors can now search the media library by file name.
  • Filters: Easily filter the library to select from the most appropriate media, filters include:
    • Media type: Images, PDF, VIdeo or Audio
    • Usage: Easily see which images have already been used.
    • Folders (Enterprise only): Filter media by a specific folder or select company media.

What do I need to do The standard Manage media section and updates to Media Picker are available for all Passle users. The Enhanced Manage media features are currently only available to our Enterprise clients. Contact your Client Success contact and they will be happy to enable this feature or discuss details with you.

New Approvals process design

The post approval interface has undergone significant design improvements, focusing on simplicity and usability. Authors and approvers now have the flexibility to toggle between a detailed or a condensed view of the approval process.

We've introduced a progress timeline, to indicate the current stage in the approval process. This feature is particularly beneficial for clients using a two-step approval process.

Additionally, we've implemented a reverse chronological conversational history view. This provides clear tracking of feedback and comments.

We've also revamped the approval call-to-action buttons, decluttering the space and ensuring that each button is more purpose-driven. By eliminating unnecessary distractions, your focus is directed towards a more efficient approval process.

What do I need to do: Absolutely nothing, these new designs are available for everyone using the approval process for their posts.

OTHER CHANGES

An overview of other enhancements and any minor tweaks to our existing features in this release.

Quick Share option for LinkedIn now included with Passle Gateway

Passle users can now leverage the LinkedIn Quick Share feature through the Passle Gateway. This new functionality enables users to share not only their own posts but also effortlessly share their colleagues' posts.

What do I need to do: Absolutely nothing, this feature is enabled for everyone. If you do not want the Quick share to LinkedIn feature enabled for your company, contact your Client Success contact and they will be happy to disable this for you.

Improvements to Mondaq quality of data displayed on Passle

For our clients integrated with Mondaq, we are introducing some enhancements to improve the quality of the data presented. These enhancements include:

  • Filtering out views where the company is 'none' or 'no company provided'.
  • Deprioritising certain job positions, such as student or academic.
  • Displaying the company name when no company was initially provided, but has been matched via Mondaq's IP address business matching.

Change of position on interface for Company Guidelines link

If enabled, the positioning of the Company Guidelines link has been moved (see image below). This has been moved as part of the redesign of our Approvals process interface (mentioned above).

Update to the Custom Design Tool, to hide the repost option (if user is not authenticated)

For those companies using the Classic Passle design, the repost button will no longer show if a user is not logged in. (The feature cannot be used by non-Passle account users.)

WHAT WE'VE FIXED

A list of minor UI updates in this release.

  • Welcome/registration email updates. We have introduced error messages to flag when a user is not assigned to a Passle. Once a user has been assigned to one or more Passles, welcome/registration emails can be sent to new users. We have also added a filter so administrators can view any users not assigned to a Passle.
  • Update to live approval process options when viewing live and preview versions of a post. The user can view the live post and preview the revision of the post (when going through the live approval process). The title links for these views have been updated to make the options clearer to the user.
  • Update to scrollbar for left-hand menu and main page view. The scrollbar design has been updated to match overall Passle style.

A list of bugs fixed in this release.

  • Fix to the Tag Mapping table. There was an inconsistency between the filter and data shown in the table, which has now been fixed. We have also added the option to filter by 'Other tags'.

SUNSETTING

A list of any features that will no longer be available after this release.

Discover & Follow

Based on client feedback and low feature usage, we've decided to remove the 'Discover & Follow' section from the dashboard. Consequently, you will no longer receive updates for any companies you were following as part of your daily summary. An email will be sent to any active users (within the last 2 years) to make them aware of this update.

Pendo support widget

We will be removing the support widget (powered by Pendo) from the dashboard. Links to our Knowledge Base and to contact our support team will remain accessible via the left-hand navigation menu under 'GET SUPPORT'.
