WHAT'S NEW
An overview of our new features and key enhancements in this release.
CrossPitch Send
Automatic post creation from RSS feed
Authors can now add their own RSS feed to their profile to automatically sync new posts as they are published. Our system will regularly check the feed, create external posts on their behalf, generate the CrossPitch notification list, and send emails according to your preferred sending settings, whether immediate, or delayed.
If manual action is needed or issues occur, reminder emails will be sent to keep administrators informed.
Simplified dashboard for CrossPitch-only clients
To better support our CrossPitch-only clients, we’re introducing a streamlined dashboard focused solely on CrossPitch features. This removes all non-CrossPitch content and tabs from the home page and administrator dashboard, providing a simpler, more focused user experience.
Key updates include:
- Removing unnecessary content from the home page
- Hiding irrelevant tabs and links for administrators
- Limiting post creation to external posts only
- Simplifying the approval and publishing process
OTHER CHANGES
An overview of other enhancements and any minor tweaks to our existing features in this release.
CrossPitch Send
Content sharers can now be selected as post authors
It is now possible to select content sharers as authors for posts, offering greater flexibility in managing authorship while ensuring they do not have permission to create posts. This is particularly useful for CrossPitch-only clients using external content, as it allows content sharers to be authors without providing full editing access.
Notification if no users meet threshold for automated sending
If automated sending is enabled for CrossPitch AI Send but no users meet the relevance threshold for a post, an email will be sent to all administrators notifying them that no notifications will be sent automatically. This alert prompts admins to manually review and send notifications if needed.
PDF support for external posts
We’ve added support for PDFs in our external post tool, enabling the system to extract and analyse PDF content. This enhancement allows CrossPitch to generate the relevant post recommendations based on the full content of PDF documents.
CrossPitch Search
Adding relevant content to search results
We’re enhancing the search results to display not only relevant profiles but also related posts they’ve written. This added context lets you explore their content alongside their profile, making it easier to see if they’re the right match for your search.
Client Connect
Send pre-filled invites from your CRM
You can now generate a Client Connect invite link from your CRM that pre-populates the invite form with recipient and sender details. All fields remain editable before sending.
To use this feature, your CRM link must be configured to pass details via query string parameters (e.g., name, email, company). Any fields not provided can be completed manually on the invite form.
Remove frequency options
A new option is available to remove subscription frequency choices for clients using third-party integrations to send digests outside of Passle. When enabled alongside digest suppression, frequency options are hidden from all Client Connect subscription forms.
If newsletter suppression is turned off, frequency options are automatically restored.
WHAT WE'VE FIXED
A list of bugs fixed in this release.
- We’ve added a safeguard so CrossPitch AI will only run when a post has at least 20 words of real content. This prevents it from having to make assumptions when there’s too little text, ensuring more accurate and relevant email suggestions.
