An overview of our new features and key enhancements in this release.
Author Notification updates
Following client feedback and requests, we’ve improved the way authors are added to posts. Now, when adding authors, you’ll have two options:
- Save changes: This saves the post and authors, just as before.
- Save changes & notify authors: This allows you to notify the author(s) and add an optional message, as well as choose which author(s) should receive it.
This helps keep authors informed when they’re added to content, giving them the opportunity to review it if needed.
All messages, and if the authors were notified, have been added to the post history.
What do I need to do: Absolutely nothing, this feature is available to all clients.
Manage emails and push notifications Admin
To give administrators greater visibility into the emails being sent to their users, we've introduced a new section, Manage email & push notifications, under each user profile which shows all emails sent in the last 30 days. You are also able to view the status of each email, such as whether it has been opened.
Notifications are grouped into the following categories:
- Activity emails: Monthly or quarterly performance updates sent to users, as well as admin statistics emails.
- Other emails: Includes approval requests, new post notifications, daily summaries, and (if applicable) Client Connect subscriber notifications.
- Push notifications: In app notifications
You can access this page via Admin > Manage Users > [Select a User] > More > Admin controls.
What do I need to do: Nothing, this page is available for all administrators.
OTHER CHANGES
An overview of other enhancements and any minor tweaks to our existing features in this release.
Additional Client Connect settings
To support requests from some of our clients, we have added new options to the Client Connect newsletter settings.
Ability to add a mandatory ‘Company’ field on the subscription sign-up form
The 'company' field on the subscription form now has three possible options:
- Disabled – No company field appears in the form
- Optional – Company field appears on the form, but completion is not mandatory
- Required – Company field appears on the form, and must be filled in
Ability to exclude tags from a channel subscription
To give our clients more flexibility, two new options have been added to tag matching options for channel settings:
- Exclude all of the tags
Excludes posts that have all of the selected tags. Posts with only one of the tags will not be excluded from channel. - Exclude any of the tags
Excludes posts that have any of the selected tags. Posts with at least one of the tags will be excluded from channel.
Author notification updates
Previously, if a post was created on behalf of someone else, only the person who requested approval would be notified once it was approved and published. This meant that other authors weren’t always informed when their content went live.
We’ve now updated this behaviour so that all named authors on a post will receive a notification when the post is approved and published.
Updates to post monitoring Enterprise
We have updated how our post monitoring works - to include registering redirects.
This update allows for redirecting to content from URLs that the Passle system supports, to URLs that a client wants when integrating with Passle.
Updates to Post Importer Tool > importing CSV files Admin
There is a maximum size of CSV file that can be uploaded via the Post Importer page (4MB).
Info text has been added to the interface to advise of this maximum file size. If the user uploads a file exceeding this limit, a warning message is presented.
Update the RSS/Atom feeds information
RSS and Atom feeds support the language and feedtype query parameters. These details are now included under User dashboard > Passle > General > RSS/Atom feeds page > Advanced options section.
WHAT WE'VE FIXED
A list of minor UI updates in this release.
- Media library > Improvement to Drag & Drop 'moving files' option: The functionality has been improved for the ‘drag & drop’ behaviour when moving a file. It now just shows the label only as the user moves a file.
- Optimisation of 'Manage Users' (Administrator) page load performance: Load time for pages of ‘200’ items has been reduced.
- Updated Lexology icon displayed for feedback pages: The Lexology icon used when displaying third-party statistics has been updated so that is now clearly visible in dark mode.
- Feedback > Passle activity issue with statistics not matching across pages: Discrepancies between view statistics on Passle activity pages have now been fixed.
- Update to redirects from edit post page to correct Passle: Updates to the shortcodes used will prevent any future errors from occurring.
- Feedback > Client Connect subscribers - 'Export to CSV’ button was not visible for non-admin users: This has been fixed, and the ‘Export to CSV’ button for CC subscribers is now available for all non-admin users.
- Creation of External posts should pull the description of the article: This has been fixed so that the creation of an External post will pull through both title and short description.
- Post Importer Tool - Error occurred when bulk publishing draft posts: This issue has now been fixed, including when deleted posts are found.
- Feedback > Passle activity issue when resizing browser: Resizing the browser was resetting the reporting period parameters. This has now been fixed, and the reporting period does not change unless manually edited.
- Administrator view for Feedback > Passle activity not showing results when viewed in a smaller screen size: When the screen is resized or viewed via a split screen, the Passle activity results now show correctly for administrators (and do not switch to the mobile view).
- Email notifications page > Client Connect - text error updated: A very small text error has been fixed: ‘subscribe’ > ‘subscribed’.
- Manage permissions > Edit profile & Image uploads sections - some switches not displaying correctly: The appearance of the switches under both tabs have been updated to display correctly.
- Passle pages (DTS design) > 'Subscribe' button was misaligned in Safari: This has been fixed. When a Passle page is viewed in Safari, the “Subscribe” button is no longer misaligned, nor overlaps with other elements in the navigation.
- Passle pages (Classic design) > 'Repost' text appeared incorrectly aligned: The alignment of ‘Reposted from [Passle name]' now displays correctly.

Advanced Newsletter feature
The Advanced Newsletter feature will be retired from use and will no longer work after 30 April 2025. The Publish a newsletter ('copy & paste' post summary generator) option and the Client Connect newsletter option will both continue to be available to clients.
