WHAT'S NEW

An overview of our new features and key enhancements in this release.

Approvals management ADMIN

Administrators can now manage the content approval process settings for individual Passles. This includes settings for the main single-step (or optional two-step) process and the live approvals process (if enabled for your company). Administrators will now be able to view, add or delete nominated and back-up approvers, and adjust any back-up approver notification settings.

Managing approvals

The new Manage approval process page can be reached from a tab under Company on the left-hand nav bar. It gives an overview of your settings by Passle, including the approval process set, whether you have live approvals enabled for a Passle, and if you have a company guidelines link set up. The approval process settings page for each Passle (including managing nominated and back-up approver settings) can be accessed via the Manage approval settings link.

Administrators will still be able to manage the company editorial/policy guidelines link. The Add company guidelines page can also be found via a link in the Manage approval process table.

All approval settings details can also be exported to CSV from the Manage approvals page.

Managing approvals settings

Administrators will now be able to manage their approver settings for each Passle approval process from the Approval settings page.

Any nominated approvers added will appear on the drop-down list when an author requests approval for a post. Any back-up approvers added will receive a notification email if the post has not been approved within the timeframe set.

Alternative request approval option for Step 2 approvals

The default setting is for a single-step approval process. However, some companies may require a two-step approval process, which can also be set from the Approval settings page.

  1. Default option For those clients using the two-step approval process, the default option automatically sends the approval request to all nominated approvers listed in the settings.
  2. Alternative option To support the request from some of our clients, we have now introduced an alternative second-step option: the user can select a single approver from the list of nominated approvers set (the same functionality as in step-one approvals).

Add a Client Connect sign up at the bottom of posts

To increase subscribers to your Client Connect newsletter, we have introduced an optional custom sign-up link that can appear at the end of your posts.

A company administrator with 'Manage Client Connect' permissions can manage the link.

Features include:

  • Customisable intro text (up to 150 characters)
  • Customisable sign-up link text (up to 50 characters)
  • Select which Client Connect to direct new subscribers.
  • Option to set link visibility either client-wide or at the individual Passle level.

Simplified login interface and SSO workflow

We have implemented a new login process where a user first enters their email address, allowing us to identify if they have Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled.

  • If a user has SSO enabled, they will be redirected to their SSO provider automatically for a smoother login experience.
  • For users with both SSO and password login enabled, there will be an option to log in with a password or continue with SSO.
  • Users without SSO can simply log in with their password.

3.1.3 - SSO (pw enabled).png

This improvement is designed to reduce frustration for our SSO users while still ensuring a seamless experience for our standard login users.

You can also visit our Knowledge Base article for more information Using Single Sign On (SSO).

What do I need to do: Absolutely nothing, if you do have difficulties logging in please contact our Support Team at support@passle.net

In this release, we've also addressed and resolved several issues identified during our recent penetration testing and security audit. These updates enhance the robustness of our platform by fixing vulnerabilities and mitigating security risks. This process is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest security standards, ensuring our service remains safe and reliable for all clients.
